GHP recruits new CEO to GHP Stockholm Spine Center


Björn Zoëga, a spine surgeon and accomplished leader in the field of health
care, will be assuming the position of CEO of GHP Stockholm Spine Center on 7
March 2016.
Björn (b.1964) has many years’ experience of leadership within the field of
health care. Björn graduated from medical school in Iceland. He did his
residency and worked as a spine surgeon and clinical chief at the Sahlgrenska
University Hospital. He has been the CEO of Landspitali University Hospital in
Reykjavik and in this role he gained the award of “CEO of the Year” in Iceland.
Björn also holds positions as Chairman of the Board of Iceland’s health care
payor and of the Scientific Board of the pharmaceutical company Alvotech.

Center, which is already a world-class spine clinic, to the next level regarding
quality of care, efficiency and research. With his knowledge, energy and
