ANN ARBOR, MI--(Marketwired - December 15, 2015) - SkySync, a Gartner 'Cool Vendor' that enables organizations to easily integrate content with disparate storage platforms to Cloud services, today announced a series of record-breaking milestones in 2015 that include 450% year-over-year revenue growth, over 1,000 net new customers, the addition of five strategic partnerships and key product development enhancements.
"The incredible growth we've experienced in 2015 continues to be fueled by increasing global demand among enterprises seeking a radically streamlined and ultra-reliable solution for moving content between on-premises storage systems and cloud-based services," said Mark Brazeau, CEO of SkySync. "Our SkySync middleware does just that. It serves as an intelligent membrane between on-prem and cloud storage systems to automate the migration and bi-directional synchronization of files, folder hierarchies, properties, versions, map permissions, user accounts and metadata. And it does so with a few mouse clicks, without requiring an army of integrators."
New Customers
With over 1,000 net new customers acquired in 2015, SkySync is addressing growing demand from a broad range of vertical markets that include government, public services, education, legal, insurance, energy and utilities, media, retail, biopharmaceutical, construction and oil and gas. Allergan, T Rowe Price and AstraZeneca are among the marquee customers deploying SkySync.
Strategic Partnerships
Because SkySync plays such a vital role in facilitating file logistics between on-premises and cloud storage platforms, the company has attracted new strategic partnerships with Citrix Sharefile, Dropbox, Egnyte, IBM, Internet2 and Syncplicity. Most recently, SkySync was named a Dropbox Premier Partner that elevates its status with Dropbox's worldwide customer base consisting of 400 million users, eight million businesses and 150,000 paying organizations utilizing its Dropbox Business services.
Awards
SkySync was named a Gartner Cool Vendor in Content Management for 2015. The company was one of five vendors recognized in the report. Each year, Gartner identifies new Cool Vendors in key technology areas and publishes research reports evaluating innovative vendors and their products and services. The 2015 report states that, "gaining access to documents or content that resides in myriad ECM sources, including those that have a hybrid environment both on-premises and in the cloud, is a tedious and complex task that is likely to be of increasing importance."
Key Product Developments
Among the many new features added to SkySync over the course of 2015, one of the most strategic is the addition of a connector for IBM Case Manager, also known as IBM FileNet P8. More details about this first-of-its-kind offering will be made public in January, 2016.
In addition, a connector for Oracle WebCenter Content was added to SkySync in 2015. This connector, along with SkySync's Oracle Documents Cloud connector, enables Oracle customers to bridge these two platforms for the first time, creating a truly hybrid enterprise content management system.
