Questar Assessment Adds Lexile Text Measures to Reading Assessment Report

DURHAM, NC--(Marketwired - January 06, 2016) - MetaMetrics, developer of the widely adopted Lexile® Framework for Reading, is pleased to announce its partnership with Questar Assessment, a K-12 assessment solutions provider focused on building a bridge between learning and accountability. Through their partnership, Lexile® text measures are available for book lists in student reports for Questar Assessment's Degrees of Reading Power (DRP) assessment system.

DRP provides diagnostic information about students' literacy strengths and weaknesses, and reports that information in the context of the College and Career Anchor Standards. DRP tests deliver an instructional interpretation on student score reports (Individual Performance Charts) to assist teachers in planning appropriate intervention or enrichment. The score reports provide individualized lists of recommended books with the DRP text complexity values together with the Lexile measures of those titles, to help evaluate the text complexity of those reading materials.
