REDWOOD CITY, CA--(Marketwired - January 12, 2016) - Avangate, the modern digital commerce solution provider trusted by thousands of software, SaaS and online services companies to grow their business worldwide, today announced that it has enabled ABBYY North America, a world-leading OCR & PDF software provider, achieve scalability and accelerate go-to-market speed and flexibility for B2B & B2C sales. Avangate helped ABBYY boost cart conversion rates by 34 percent and grow affiliate sales to 30 percent of total online sales within the United States.
To combat aggressive competitors with high brand awareness in the U.S. market, ABBYY shifted their go-to-market strategy away from a declining traditional retail channel to the online channel. As a result, ABBYY looked for a new digital commerce solution to increase revenue from their online store and improve customer experience.
In addition, ABBYY looked to: improve integration with existing business processes to deliver actionable BI for decision-making; support growth through process automation; enhance programs and services to deliver an exceptional shopping experience; continually upgrade offerings through collaboration with eco-system multipliers. After conducting an in-depth evaluation of various providers, ABBYY chose the Avangate Commerce solution to help it achieve its goals.
"Avangate has been instrumental in helping us build our online business. They've enabled us to take some major leaps forward in terms of business optimization, integration with third party applications, new online sales channels and improving commerce KPIs to support our growth -- as well as improving customer experience through frictionless selling," said Angel Brown, Director, Product Marketing, OCR & PDF Products, ABBYY North America.
Avangate, together with iAffiliate Management, a leading affiliate program management partner, helped ABBYY launch their first affiliate program in North America in 2013, bringing channel contribution to 30 percent of all online sales today.
ABBYY was also able to integrate its commerce operations with existing business processes and third party applications to support growth through process automation, including HubSpot marketing tools, SheerID for eligibility verification, and Salesforce customer relationship management.
By implementing Avangate partner Upsellit's cart retention tools, ABBYY achieved a 34 percent increase in the cart conversion rate. The company also launched a business card reader application on the Salesforce AppExchange that offers an additional source of revenue.
"Today's buyers are more demanding than ever, and companies need a digital commerce platform that can adapt to changing buyer preferences," said Len Eschweiler, SVP, Worldwide Sales at Avangate. "ABBYY is a perfect example of a company with cutting edge technology that needed a commerce platform to match. We're very excited that we've been able to help the company optimize operations, open new channels and grow the business, and we look forward to continued developments in the future."
