OVERLAND PARK, KS--(Marketwired - Jan 21, 2016) - FireMon today announced the appointment of two executives to the company's leadership team. Donald Klumb, Chief Financial Officer, and Peter Kobs, Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales, join the proactive security intelligence firm to continue the expansion of the company's product portfolio and geographic footprint.
FireMon has continued its high growth trajectory throughout 2015, moving to a multi-product platform and renewing focus on global markets. In April, they acquired data analytics company Immediate Insight and later launched development for a new product to be released in early 2016. FireMon added an international office in Munich to support customers in Central Europe, more than doubled the size of their business in Southeast Asia and opened new offices domestically in Dallas, Texas and Los Gatos, California.

Donald Klumb has more than 30 years of management experience including CFO of a Nasdaq company, Cartesian (CRTN) a specialty services and solutions firm to the communications and media sector), for which he led an effective IPO and secondary offering and greatly expanded the firm globally. Prior to Cartesian, he was an audit and consulting partner at Deloitte. In this role he worked closely with rapidly growing technology companies where he developed a unique perspective on the needs at each stage of growth. As CFO, Klumb will provide the added dimension of past experience and contacts within major consulting and service providers, which are areas of strategic focus for FireMon.
Peter Kobs brings 20 years of sales leadership experience in data management and security sectors to FireMon. Most recently he led the Global Accounts team for Commvault, where he was instrumental in helping define a new go-to-market strategy for the evolving technology company. As SVP of Worldwide Sales, he will be tapped to help FireMon evolve positioning and go-to-market strategies to support an expanding product portfolio. Kobs' experience globally and strong channel background will be essential as the company looks to expand on the success it has experienced thus far.
