LINCOLNSHIRE, IL--(Marketwired - Feb 8, 2016) - Camping World, the nation's largest RV and outdoor retailer, and Good Sam, the world's largest RV owners organization, today announced that they are continuing a tradition of honoring present and past members of our armed forces by installing a massive American flag at their Meridian, Idaho RV SuperCenter. The 40x80' flag, which covers 3,200 square feet, is the largest in the state of Idaho and will fly on a 130' pole. The flag is being installed as part of a project that Camping World and Good Sam began in February of 2014 to show their ongoing appreciation of America's veterans and active military members.
Camping World in Meridian, which is located at 1580 W. Overland Road just 10 miles west of Boise, will hold an official flag raising ceremony on Monday, February 15 at 1pm. Refreshments and a light lunch will be served after the ceremony and all local public service and safety members, military, veterans and community members are invited to attend this event free of charge. As a special offer, members of the military will receive 10% off all parts transactions and a $100 Camping World gift card with purchase of any RV during the event.
"It has been our vision to continue the tradition of raising these flags to show our company's support and appreciation to our country and those that have sacrificed so much to keep our communities safe," stated Marcus Lemonis, Chairman and CEO of Camping World and Good Sam and host of CNBC's The Profit. "We love having the opportunity to bring together local communities to celebrate our great country and the brave men and women who have fought for us, and will continue raising these flags in other markets in the coming months."
Currently, the massive American flag flies high at over 40 Camping World SuperCenters across the country. Other dealerships that have erected the large American flags include locations in Arkansas, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Texas, Michigan, Tennessee, Wisconsin, Ohio, North Carolina, and South Carolina.
