With the announcement of the Cohesity Revolution Partner Program and appointment of Joe Barnes, Cohesity is building a robust channel ecosystem to continue addressing common pain points that affect enterprise customers today. The amount of data organizations manage continues to grow and the majority of this data is held in secondary storage environments. The Cohesity Data Platform combines a web-scale storage architecture with standards-based hardware components to enable companies to transition from today's expensive silos for different data use cases to a simple, hyperconverged solution for data management. By consolidating a wide range of functions onto a single platform, Cohesity can reduce storage costs by more than half and make enterprise data management incredibly simple. Channel partners, including P1 and CrossRealms, will work closely with Cohesity to bring the industry's first hyperconverged secondary storage platform to their clients.
"As a best-of-breed, leading edge IT consulting firm, we pride ourselves on introducing our clients to the most impactful, cutting-edge storage technologies on the market to drive their businesses," added Aaron Cardenas, owner of P1 Technologies. "Cohesity is a great example of a thought-leading storage technology that is making over the neglected secondary storage market for backup, test/dev and file services with a consolidated, hyperconverged architecture that delivers massive efficiencies over today's piecemeal approach."
"As a comprehensive managed services and consultation company, our clients rely on us to deliver best of breed solutions to improve business performance," explained Usama Houlila, Founder and Principal, CrossRealms. "We are very excited about partnering with Cohesity as a leading innovator in the storage space to deliver the first hyperconverged secondary storage solution as a service to more efficiently manage our clients' growing data."
With more than 25 years of experience spanning a diverse background of IT sales and sales leadership, Barnes is well positioned to lead Cohesity's channel strategy. Most recently, he served as the West U.S. Regional and Divisional Partner Manager at EMC, and prior to that worked at NetApp building their Southwest sales organization.
"I'm thrilled to join Cohesity at such an important juncture," Barnes said. "We are focused on continuing to help businesses make dramatic cuts to the cost and complexity of managing their data storage, and I look forward to getting our channel partners what they need to be successful including training and access to our engineers."
Recently, Cohesity announced the latest version of its secondary storage product, Cohesity Data Platform 2.0, which includes important new performance, management, and security features for enterprise customers. The Cohesity Data Platform helps customers consolidate secondary storage use cases, such as data protection, test and development, and file services, in a more flexible, efficient, and secure manner. Now, with key 2.0 features, the storage platform includes site-to-site replication, cloud archive, and hardware-accelerated, 256-bit encryption.
