TORONTO, ON --(Marketwired - February 25, 2016) - NEI Investments ("NEI") announced today that, effective on or after May 2, 2016, the NEI Northwest Canadian Equity Fund (the underlying fund of the NEI Northwest Canadian Equity Corporate Class) will begin using derivatives. It is anticipated that initially the NEI Northwest Canadian Equity Fund will use derivatives solely for hedging purposes as permitted by securities legislation to help protect its portfolio against currency risk.
The use of derivatives will comply with applicable securities legislation and will also be consistent with the NEI Northwest Canadian Equity Fund's investment objective and strategies.
