ATLANTA, GA--(Marketwired - Mar 22, 2016) - QASymphony announces the appointment of proven software industry executive Jonathan Alexander to Chief Technology Officer. In this role, Alexander will oversee research and development of QASymphony's qTest platform, including the development of new product offerings.
Alexander previously held senior-level positions at multiple high-growth technology companies. Most recently he was CTO at Vocalocity, acquired by Vonage, where he led development and testing of its cloud communications platform. Before that Alexander co-founded and led development and testing at vmSight, now part of Liquidware Labs, and was Vice President at Epiphany, leading development and testing teams focused on cloud CRM solutions.
Alexander will be taking over CTO responsibilities from QASymphony co-founder Vu Lam, who will remain active as a member of the Board. Alexander will guide the QASymphony development team based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, and will establish a new research labs team in Atlanta to explore and develop future product areas for QASymphony, including quality analytics and solutions for automated testing.
QASymphony is experiencing rapid growth at a time of significant change in the software industry. Its qTest platform is now used by almost 10,000 developers and testers in 300-plus organizations, including Adobe, Dell, Salesforce, Barclays, Office Depot, Verizon and Visa. These industry leaders and others like them are retooling their IT organizations around cloud and microservices-based architectures and mobile platforms, and replacing legacy development and testing tools with modern solutions, like qTest, that are purpose built for Agile environments.
"I had the pleasure of working with Jonathan over the past 18 months when he was a customer and technology leader at Vonage. It was there that I could see he had the vision and creativity to help take QASymphony to the next level," says Dave Keil, CEO at QASymphony. "We are very fortunate to bring in someone with his experience and track record, and I'm looking forward to incorporating his ideas into our strategic plan."
"I'm very excited to be joining a talented team at QASymphony at such a transformative time in software development and testing," says Alexander. "We share a vision and a passion for building great products that help teams create quality software faster and better."
