SANTA CLARA, Calif., March 22, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Off the Wall Soccer (OTWS), located in Santa Clara California, will be partnering with Vista Solar to generate energy savings through clean solar energy. The solar solution is expected to be completed by late summer and is estimated to offset 80% of their energy costs through clean solar energy production. Jan Eric Nordmo, the president and founder of Off the Wall Soccer, states that "we are thrilled to be in partnership with Vista Solar. Our industry depends on the use of affordable and renewable power. This is a win-win for both organizations."
Spencer Wells, the Project Developer that collaborated with Jan Nordmo and Janet Benassi, the General Manager at Off the Wall Soccer, comments "Jan and Janet were wonderful to work with throughout the selection process. Coming from a sports background, it is great to see owners of sports arena's getting more serious about their environmental footprint. On the solar side, we were able to secure a performance based incentive (PBI) rebate with Silicon Valley Power that helped the project ROI be under 5 years."
In addition to helping OTWS secure solar savings, Spencer and other Vista Solar colleagues joined the indoor soccer adult league. Spencer adds "our employees thoroughly enjoyed playing in their indoor soccer adult league these past few months. Jan has built an energetic atmosphere at his facility and would recommend any company looking for team building to get involved with the indoor soccer leagues at Off the Wall Soccer."
Through collaboration with Jan Nordmo, Vista Solar will sponsor the Sports Arena Alliance (SAA). Jan Eric Nordmo, also the CEO of the Sports Arena Alliance (SAA ), said, "This partnership gives a wonderful opportunity for our industry members to save costs on power and to continue to be good stewards of our environment". The SAA works to help sports arenas work together to make sports accessible and better organized.
