HOWELL, MI--(Marketwired - Mar 29, 2016) - Cleary University today announced the hiring of Chef Jeffrey Bane to lead the university's new culinary and hospitality management programs. The school is planning to officially launch the program in the fall of 2016. Bane will be responsible for building the programming for associate and bachelor's level degrees, in addition to developing and managing campus food service operations, including events at the Johnson Center.
Most recently, Chef Bane was serving as Culinary Division President for The Chef's Academy at Harrison College in Raleigh, N.C. and Indianapolis, IN. He joined The Chef's Academy in 2006 as an instructor. Prior to The Chef's Academy, Chef Bane worked as a resort chef in Deer Valley, Utah, Montana, Alaska, and Sun Valley, Idaho. He also worked for three years at ski resorts in New Zealand, France and Austria.

Chef Bane earned his culinary and bachelor's degrees from Johnson & Wales University's Charleston campus. He also earned an associate degree in pastry arts and a master's degree in leadership development from St. Mary of the Woods College. He is an award-winning National Ice Carving Association Certified Ice Carver and a Certified Evaluator for the American Culinary Federation with three designations. Chef Bane was named Harrison College Campus President of the year in 2015.
