Cycle Computing Presents at Bio-IT World Conference & Expo

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - Mar 31, 2016) - Cycle Computing, the leader in cloud computing orchestration software for Big Compute and Big Data, today announced that its CEO, Jason Stowe, will deliver the introduction to one of the Keynote speeches at the Bio-IT World Conference & Expo to be held April 5-7 at the Seaport World Trade Center in Boston. Stowe will introduce the panel "Big Data, Big Science, Smart Medicine." This discussion will explore how as data types and sources explode, companies at the cutting edge are using health records, patient portals, and new data sources like NGS to turn big data into smart data.

Stowe will make two additional presentations:

• The first, on Tuesday, April 5^th, is a workshop titled "Scalable Cloud Computing in the Industry." This workshop will show participants how they can leverage a variety of cloud-based high-performance computing solutions to support fast growth, change, and demand in genomics and related bioscientific fields.
• Stowe will also speak on Wednesday, April 6^th during the cloud computing track. His presentation titled "Why Would You NOT Use Public Clouds for Your Big Compute Workloads?" will take a look at how the resistance to leveraging the cloud for the compute and data intensive workloads is shifting and the allure of zero queue times and unlimited amounts of processing are proving impossible to resist. This talk will highlight the risks and rewards of science in the cloud.
• In addition to Jason's participation, Ben Cotton, Cycle Computing's Customer Satisfaction Leader will chair the session "Apply Cloud to Large Scale Genomic Projects" on Thursday, April 7^th.
