David Sayen, former Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Regional Administrator for Region 9 (CA, AZ, NV, and HI), joins GHG as Senior Vice President of Client Relations, bringing our clients nearly 40 years of federal service and experience in health and human services programs.

While the Regional Administrator role spans the CMS portfolio from Medicare to Medicaid and the Health Insurance Marketplace (Obamacare), David has been particularly active in the movement to risk-based models like Pioneer/Shared Savings/Next Gen Accountable Care Organizations and Bundled Payments. He coordinated the field organization activities in those programs as well as the competitive bidding demonstration for Durable Medical Equipment. Prior to his senior executive service experience as Regional Administrator in San Francisco, he held senior roles in Program Integrity, Health Plan Operations, Financial Management, and Information Technology in CMS' Baltimore headquarters and the Philadelphia Regional Office.
