TORONTO, ON--(Marketwired - Apr 7, 2016) - CentriLogic, a global provider of managed hosting, cloud computing, co-location and advanced IT outsourcing solutions, today announces that Collins Barrow Toronto has entered into a contract with CentriLogic for data center co-location and managed security services. The Toronto-based premier financial advisory firm is the largest member of Collins Barrow National, the eighth-largest group of chartered accountants in Canada and one of Canada's largest associations of chartered accounting firms. The firm chose CentriLogic to host and manage its IT infrastructure, during a period of intense growth for the accounting firm. Collins Barrow Toronto grew revenues by 200% since 2010, and projects similar growth over the next five years through organic growth and strategic acquisitions.
Collins Barrow Toronto signed a 39-month contract worth approximately $430,000, for services provided at two CentriLogic facilities: Mississauga for the primary hosting site and downtown Toronto, which will serve as the backup site. CentriLogic is also providing redundant Internet connectivity from the Collins Barrow office to the primary site and a dedicated connection from the primary site to the backup facility.
For several years, the firm had been maintaining its own data center from an office in downtown Toronto. The building, an older structure with outdated infrastructure, had frequent power outages resulting in IT disruptions for staff. After a flood in the fall of 2014, which resulted in a 20-hour outage, the company decided it was time to use an external provider for infrastructure management and to leave the aging building.
Collins Barrow Toronto selected CentriLogic as its data center solution partner based on the following factors: its capabilities in application development to support future growth needs, CentriLogic's focus on delivering custom offerings, and its competitive pricing, giving the advisory firm much higher reliability and stronger security for the same cost it was spending to manage infrastructure internally. The firm completed the migration of its data center in downtown Toronto to a CentriLogic facility in the Greater Toronto Area in early October. CentriLogic is also providing managed firewall services to Collins Barrow, significantly upgrading the firm's firewall technology.
"We chose CentriLogic over several other contenders because they are very pragmatic in their solutions and flexible to meet our needs," says Rhonda Klosler, COO of Collins Barrow Toronto. "There is not a standard box that they are asking us to fit into. It was also important to us that our two corporate cultures were aligned. We consider ourselves nimble, bold, pragmatic, disruptive, and true partners to our clients, and that is how we view CentriLogic."
"It's an honor to work with a leader in the accounting industry in Canada," says Robert Offley, President and CEO of CentriLogic. "As Collins Barrow expands their offerings in the market, we will be working closely with their team to design the most flexible and agile infrastructure possible to help them bring maximum value to their clients."
