HOWELL, MI--(Marketwired - Apr 20, 2016) - Cleary University today introduced a new program for Michigan high schools that will help educate students about the values of business, entrepreneurship and innovation in industry. Every year, the Bridge to Business Success program will be based on a new thought provoking business-related book that is given to the schools at no charge. For the first year of the program, participating high schools will use The New York Times best-selling book, "The ABCs of Sales" by Dr. Daniel Milstein, the founder and CEO of Gold Star Mortgage Financial Group.
The Bridge to Business Success program will kick-off with a spring colloquium on April 21, 2016 from 10 am to 1 pm at Cleary University with a presentation, Q&A and book signing with Dr. Milstein. The hundreds of high school students and faculty anticipated for the event will receive a campus tour and lunch prior to the colloquium. Additional information and registration details are available online at Cleary.edu.
"Our goal at Cleary is to provide students with practical experiences and education that will prepare them for a successful career," said Jayson Boyers, president of Cleary University. "We truly believe that our success is driven by our ability to build bridges between Cleary, our surrounding communities and local, national and international businesses and business leaders. What better way to help prepare local high school students for college and beyond then to build bridges to educators, businesses and business leaders who can guide, inspire, train and motivate them. Bridge to Business Success is one more way that Cleary is connecting with our community and realizing our vision of becoming America's foremost applied-business university."
In addition to providing a free best-selling book, Bridge to Business Success will introduce students to career and educational opportunities through business education, as well as additional networking opportunities with business and educational professionals from across Michigan and the region.
"Looking back at my own life, there were many people who built bridges and extended hands of support that helped me transition from a young Russian immigrant with 17 cents in my pocket to the founder and CEO of a Fortune 500 company," said Dr. Milstein. "Now, with a program like this, provided by Cleary, I have the opportunity to motivate the next generation of business leaders by providing them with an example of what can happen through hard work and persistence in the business world. I appreciate Cleary's leadership role in this endeavor and am honored that my book has been chosen as part of the curriculum for the first year of Bridge to Business Success. I look forward to engaging with program participants throughout the coming year."
