TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - April 25, 2016) - The Ontario Energy Association (OEA) is set to host its second Speaker Series event of 2016, Exploring Alternative Transportation Options in Ontario: Electric & Natural Gas Vehicles; highlighting the importance of natural gas as an alternative transportation fuel and the considerable associated benefits for both Ontario's environment and economy.
Dr. Daniel Hoornweg, Associate Professor and Richard Marceau Chair, University of Ontario Institute of Technology, will present research findings that suggest Ontario can save billions of dollars in fuel costs and reduce greenhouse gas emissions by over 100 million tonnes by 2050 if it can tackle unresolved transportation issues and implement solutions that include increased reliance on electric and natural gas powered vehicles.
