SAN FRANCISCO, May 13, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Last night finalists were celebrated and winners announced at the Eleventh Annual Bay Area CFO of the Year Awards. Held in San Francisco at the Fairmont, the event was attended by 500 business leaders and executives that gathered to network, celebrate, and congratulate the Lifetime Achievement winner, Peter Oppenheimer, former Senior Vice President & Chief Financial Officer, Apple, Inc., and CFOs in six categories for CFO of the Year.
The sold-out awards dinner is a premier networking event and has raised over $4.7MM to benefit local non-profit, Larkin Street Youth Services. All proceeds benefit homeless and at-risk youth, ages 12-24, served by Larkin Street, the leading nonprofit in San Francisco helping youth gain independence by offering an innovative and award-winning model of housing, education, employment, and health services. The funds raised help Larkin Street as they deepen and expand programs to provide more youth with counseling, services, and increase the number who get college degrees and move into sustainable careers.
