National Council of Legislators From Gaming States Hosts Summer Meeting July 29-31 in Boston

BOSTON, MA--(Marketwired - May 17, 2016) - Lawmakers and gaming experts from across the country will gather July 29-31 for the Summer Meeting of the National Council of Legislators from Gaming States (NCLGS), which takes place at the Boston Marriott Newton.

In addition to legislators, confirmed speakers include regulators, attorneys, casino operators, lottery and pari-mutuel experts, and suppliers. Visit http://www.nclgs.org/meetings.html to view the impressive agenda. Registration for the NCLGS semi-annual meetings is open to the public.

"NCLGS takes enormous pride in being a forum where legislators and other policy leaders can learn and discuss issues of importance to their states by learning what is working -- and not working -- across the nation," said Rep. Helene Keeley of Delaware, President of NCLGS.

The conference begins July 29 with a host of topical committee meetings and sessions, including those on problem gambling, the convergence of lotteries and casinos, the future of pari-mutuel wagering, gaming saturation, Indian gaming and Internet gaming. Penn National President and CEO Timothy Wilmott will deliver the keynote address.

Saturday sessions will focus on daily fantasy sports and sports wagering, as well as an in-depth examination and review of gaming policy in Massachusetts. Sunday morning will focus on gaming taxation, and how it needs to evolve in response to changing times.

The Summer Meeting includes a Lobster Bake by conference co-host Lasell University, which offers a gaming-studies program, and an optional site visit to Plainridge Park, the only casino currently operating in Massachusetts.

Rooms are available July 28-31 at the co-host Boston Marriott Newton at a discounted conference rate. Call 800-228-9290 or 617-969-1000 or click here: Book your group rate for NCLGS Meeting
