JOHNSTOWN, Pa., May 19, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Concurrent Technologies Corporation (CTC) is proud to be a sponsor and exhibitor at the upcoming 26th Annual Showcase for Commerce. Showcase is a nationally renowned business and industry trade show and defense contracting exhibition held in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. The event brings in over 2,000 participants to view the exhibits of more than 100 international, national, and regional companies. From May 31–June 2, 2016, government acquisition leaders, Congressional leaders, and major defense industry executives will connect at this unique event.
"Showcase for Commerce is an important event for the defense industry and supply chain members," said Edward J. Sheehan, Jr., President & Chief Executive Officer of CTC, and Chairman of Showcase for Commerce. "CTC will be highlighting solutions that can make a difference in national security, from increasing warfighter preparedness with the hydrogen fuel cell power demonstrator to building stronger armored vehicles because of our additive manufacturing and coatings capabilities. We are excited to meet with so many key decision makers and contributors in the area of government acquisitions."
U.S. Senator Robert P. Casey, Jr. (PA), U.S. Senator Pat Toomy (PA), and U.S. Congressman Keith Rothfus (PA 12th District) will be among the Congressional leaders who will view such CTC innovations as:
- Additive Manufacturing (AM) – CTC provides solutions in areas that advance the AM industry, such as prototype and part manufacturing, performance/mechanical testing, equipment selection and transition, non-destructive inspection for electron-beam AM of titanium, and much more.
- Hydrogen Fuel Cell Power Demonstrator – CTC, sponsored by the U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory, designed and built a portable hydrogen fuel cell powered demonstrator that generates a quieter and cleaner source of supplemental power.
- Hydrophobic Chemical Agent Resistant Coating (CARC) System – CTC developed a water reducible, hydrophobic Chemical Agent Resistant Coating (CARC) system to help reduce missile launching systems moisture and condensation accumulation that resulted in icing issues within the missile cartridge, rendering it inoperable in cold climates.
