NEW YORK, N.Y., May 23, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Kantar Health, a leading global healthcare consulting and market research firm, announced today that Tom Haskell has joined the company as Global Head of Data Analytics. In this new role, Haskell will engineer Kantar Health's data solutions, combining our industry-leading primary data collection infrastructure with current and emerging secondary data sources to provide unique offerings to our customers.
Haskell has a deep background in providing innovative solutions to complex issues in the healthcare market. Over the past 15 years he has directed the development of many data-driven solutions for top pharmaceutical companies, mainly in support of clinical trial data, portfolio management and research and development. He also has architected technology platforms utilizing complex, global, patient-level data.
"Kantar Health was founded on a legacy of primary data collection, but our clients today are increasingly interested in leveraging secondary data sources, such as claims, electronic health records, social media or connected devices," said Jeremy Brody, Executive Vice President, Kantar Health. "Tom has the necessary expertise to help our healthcare clients take these data-rich sources that were not developed for research purposes and tease out information that will give them a greater understanding of the patient's healthcare journey."
"I am extremely excited about this opportunity," Haskell said. "Kantar Health's proprietary access to myriad data on consumer and patient attitudes and behaviors allows us to provide unique insights that will be invaluable to our clients."
