FRAMINGHAM, MA--(Marketwired - May 24, 2016) - Virgin Pulse, the leading provider of employee-centric solutions that drive wellbeing, culture, and productivity across organizations around the world, today announced the successful conclusion of its annual Thrive Summit, a premier national conference focused on workplace wellbeing. The 2016 event, held earlier this month, was the third consecutive year of Thrive. With over 500 HR professionals, executives and thought leaders from organizations across the globe, the event saw attendance at an all-time high.
The Thrive Summit's agenda was anchored by keynotes Cameron Herold, author, entrepreneurial guru and former COO of 1-800-GOT-JUNK; Devon Still, National Football League defensive tackle; and Patty McCord, former Netflix Chief Talent Officer, along with special guest speaker Arianna Huffington, founder of The Huffington Post and author of The Sleep Revolution. In addition, Chris Boyce, Virgin Pulse's CEO, addressed the record crowd, unveiling the industry's first wellbeing maturity model, designed to help HR leaders understand and map their wellbeing journey from tried-and-true traditional wellness to strategic wellbeing and beyond.
"We're on a mission to change the way the world works, and Thrive is the place for us to tap into the excitement, passion, innovation, and expertise in our industry," said Chris Boyce, CEO, Virgin Pulse. "With our recent acquisitions of Global Corporate Challenge (GCC) and ShapeUp, we're able to partner with companies of all sizes and needs, across the entire workplace wellbeing maturity model. We're pioneering a new model for workplace culture and wellbeing, and it's not just incredibly exciting to host the nation's top HR and wellness leaders and learn from them, it's essential to our growth and success."
Additional sessions were devoted to engagement marketing best practices, successful corporate culture creation, the science of workplace health, mindfulness in the workplace, financial wellbeing, global wellness, and effective behavior change -- all the varied aspects of workplace wellbeing. Attendees also were treated to demonstrations of Virgin Pulse's newest products and technology, including the Wellbeing Hub and award-winning Apple Watch App.
