PowerStream's Utility-Scaled Microgrid to Become Operational


PENETANGUISHENE, ON--(Marketwired - June 27, 2016) -

  
WHAT:PowerStream, in partnership with the Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO), will launch a utility-scaled microgrid, a technology which has the capacity to provide several hours of backup power supply for approximately 400 customers residing or owning a business in Penetanguishene.
  
 Referred to as the Penetanguishene Microgrid Energy Project, the launch event is taking place near the equipment of this cutting-edge technology, which is adjacent to PowerStream's Robert Street Municipal Substation located east of the town's Main Street.
