LifeBEAM Vi Becomes Highest Funded Fitness Wearable on Kickstarter, Reaching $1 Million

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - Jul 8, 2016) - Vi, the first true artificial intelligence personal trainer created by LifeBEAM, today announced it surpassed $1 million in total campaign funding on Kickstarter with over 4,400 backers and 11 days left in its campaign. LifeBEAM reached its original funding goal of $100,000 in just a few of hours. Alongside its milestone goal, LifeBEAM also announced two new features for Vi: basic cycling mode and additional color options.

In addition to the original Running Mode, the app will now include a Lite Cycling Mode that provides real-time feedback on heartrate, speed, elevation, time and distance. Users will be able to use simple voice commands to switch between RUN and CYCLING modes. Moreover, Vi will integrate with Strava, the social network for athletes, to allow users to import and export riding data. As Vi continues to evolve through over-the-air software updates, the Lite Cycling Mode support will evolve into Full Cycling Mode, including personalized cycling training plans and feedback about cadence and power.

To thank the community for their support of the evolving personal trainer, all backers will have the option to choose the color of their Vi. Choices include matte black, blue and bronze.
