SEATTLE, WA--(Marketwired - Jul 18, 2016) - Garvey Schubert Barer today announced that Greg Duff, an owner of the firm and chair of its national Hospitality, Travel & Tourism practice, is now firm-wide chair. In his new role, he will focus on recruiting and creating opportunities for continued professional development for the firm's attorneys and staff; developing new approaches to meet the evolving needs of clients; and building on the firm's strengths to ensure long term growth.
Duff joined Garvey Schubert Barer in 2011 after a successful career working with traditional hotel chains, Internet commerce startups and hospitality companies. He served as Associate General Counsel at the Westin Hotel Company/Starwood Hotels and Resorts; as Assistant General Counsel at Homegrocer.com/Webvan Group; and as General Counsel and Vice President of Development at Columbia Hospitality.
He represents a variety of local, state and national owners and operators of restaurants, hotels and resorts. He also serves as counsel and legal advisor to many of the hospitality industry's national trade associations including American Hotel and Lodging Association (AH&LA) and the Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International (HSMAI).
