MacB Employee Honored by NASA with Exceptional Public Service Medal

Dayton, Ohio, Aug. 22, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- MacAulay-Brown, Inc. (MacB), a leading National Security company delivering advanced engineering services and product solutions, announced today that long-time employee Kenneth Paul Hale was recently honored with an Exceptional Public Service Medal by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) for outstanding dedication and support of NASA's Technology Transfer Program. This prestigious medal is awarded to non-Government individuals for sustained performance that embodies multiple contributions on NASA projects, programs or initiatives. Mr. Hale currently works as Lead Technical Writer and Marketing Event Manager for MacB’s Mission Systems Group (MSG) at the Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC) in Huntsville, Alabama.

The criteria for receiving the Exceptional Public Service Medal includes sustained performance that made a significant improvement to NASA deliverables, operations or image; employee’s record of achievements that sets a benchmark for other non-Government contributors to follow; and impact and importance of services that have made a lasting impact on the success of the agency. Mr. Hale was presented his medal at a special Honor Awards Ceremony last month by Marshall Center Director Todd May and Steven Jurczyk, Associate Administrator of NASA's Space Technology Mission Directorate.

“In addition to his regular duties, Paul has essentially been the go-to support person for the licensing and commercialization manager at MSFC for a number of years,” said Ricky Carter, Vice President of MacB’s Huntsville-based MSG Division. “With Paul’s integral assistance, MSFC’s licensing program has earned a reputation as one of the best in the Agency, setting records for quarterly and annual royalty revenues and producing more than 50 commercial products during his time of service.”
