HIGHLANDS RANCH, Colo., Aug. 30, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Arcadis North America announced today it has been awarded two new environmental contracts with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) - Mobile District in Alabama to provide environmental compliance, pollution prevention services and hazardous waste investigation and design for various military installations and federal and civil agencies. The task orders will be assigned in the South Atlantic Division of USACE, which covers the Southeastern United States as well as the Caribbean and South and Central America.
Arcadis was one of seven firms selected for award under Pool B which focuses on environmental compliance and pollution prevention and one of 10 firms selected for award under Pool C for hazardous, toxic, and radioactive waste projects which includes strategy development, plans, data gathering, analysis, evaluations, studies, designs, remedial design, and regulatory support.
USACE contracts have a total combined capacity of up to $250 million over a 5-year period shared among three pools from all of the selected firms.

Arcadis has successfully performed over 80 task orders totaling over $30 million for the USACE Mobile District. Arcadis has a long history of supporting the USACE dating back to the 1940s and has performed work for USACE valued at more than $250 million over the last 10 years.
These contracts are similar to master services agreements and include broad scopes of work that may be performed under the contract. Actual work assignments will be negotiated under task orders with specific scopes of work.
