WAKEFIELD, MA--(Marketwired - Aug 31, 2016) - The tranSMART Foundation, a non-profit organization providing a global, open-source knowledge management platform for scientists to share pre-competitive translational research data, today announced the launch of its online tranSMART Marketplace. This new resource provides the tranSMART community with information on the providers and partners that are experienced in implementing and supporting the tranSMART platform, and who can work with them to streamline the implementation and administration of their system, train their users and maximize the value they derive from the tranSMART platform.
"The online Marketplace is answering a need of the tranSMART community," said tranSMART Foundation CEO Keith Elliston, PhD. "It provides a valuable resource for current and future users of the tranSMART platform to explore the wide array of suppliers who offer goods and services that help create, deploy and manage tranSMART platforms around the world."
There are currently 20 companies listed in the directory that provide solutions and services for the tranSMART platform in the areas of data curation and analysis, platform provisioning, training, and custom development. There is a short summary of the services offered by each vendor and a link to their websites for more information. Both members and non-members are welcome to submit listings.
The Marketplace is managed by the tranSMART Foundation's Community Committee Marketplace Working Group who has created methods and standards to ensure the quality of the content and the ease of use of the Marketplace. For vendors that provide custom software development, database curation, deployment, training, or other services to be included in the online Marketplace, they simply need to complete a form and their profiles will be "live" immediately.
