Louis Berger partners with Red Cross/Red Crescent for annual employee giving campaign

MORRISTOWN, N.J., Aug. 31, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Louis Berger has announced the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (Red Cross/Red Crescent) will serve as its global partner for the company's annual "Give Back" employee giving campaign.

"Through our annual Give Back campaign, Louis Berger matches employee donations dollar-for-dollar to support select NGOs whose mission aligns with our global values and who serve the communities where our employees and clients live and work," said Jim Stamatis, Louis Berger CEO and president. "Red Cross/Red Crescent supports domestic and international natural disaster relief efforts aligned with Louis Berger's mission, while providing opportunities for every employee across the globe to take advantage of the employer match through a single, global partner."
 
The 2016 "Give Back" campaign will run from September through mid-October. The company's employee-led corporate social responsibility (CSR) committee elected to support relief efforts for the Louisiana flood and the Europe migration crisis during this year's campaign. Louis Berger will match employee donations up to $20,000 USD.
 
Each year, Louis Berger's CSR committee reviews and recommends partners for the company's annual giving campaign. Selection criteria include: partners and causes that align with Louis Berger's global values; causes that support the communities where Louis Berger and its clients live and work; partners with low administration costs (high percentage of donations directly support programing); and partners able to provide an online donation platform accessible to all Louis Berger employees.
 
Past Louis Berger "Give Back" campaign partners include The New York Police and Fire Widow and Children Benefit Fund, Oxfam International, Aceh Ocean Coral, and Red Cross / Red Crescent (Superstorm Sandy Relief; Typhoon Haiyan relief for the Philippines; Nepal earthquake relief; West Africa Ebola outbreak).
