STOCKMANN plc, Company Announcement 12.9.2016 at 10:30 EET The Stockmann Group's sales in August were up 0.2 per cent and amounted to EUR 86.8 million in continuing product areas and businesses. Stockmann Retail's sales in continuing product areas and businesses were down by 5.1 per cent. Sales grew in the largest product area, fashion, but declined in other product areas. Sales were down by 6.7 per cent in Finland. The renewal works which continued the entire summer in the department store in Helsinki city centre affected the sales negatively. In the Baltic countries, sales were up 4.1 per cent due to good performance in both Tallinn and Riga department stores. Lindex's sales were up 2.2 per cent at comparable exchange rates.
