Pentaho customers from around the world submitted their nominations in one of six categories, where the contest judges evaluated the submissions based on the creativity, impact and business value of the Pentaho deployment. This year’s judges’ panel included:

- Big Data: Veikkaus Oy
Veikkaus Oy is responsible for operating Finland’s various lotto games, which generate over 10 million every week. Thanks to their implementation of Pentaho technology, the company was able to accelerate their data analysis so the marketing team could update their promotions and advertising in near real-time to better support their customers.
- Community: Municipalidad de Vicente López
The Municipalidad de Vicente López is the local government for the Vicente Lopez area for Buenos Aires, Argentina. The municipality used Pentaho to drive the data analysis for their crime prevention system to better allocate its police resources based on real-time data.
- Embedded Analytics: Intelligent Mechatronic Systems Inc. (IMS)
IMS is a leading connected car company offering innovative products and solutions, based on the award-winning DriveSync (R) connected car platform. Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs is a non-ministerial department in the UK government responsible for collecting taxes and helping families and individuals with targeted financial support. They are leveraging Pentaho in their 22 call centers to give managers faster access to operational reporting, saving an estimated 900 man hours a day.
