LOWELL, Mass., Sept. 13, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Podium Data has been selected as a finalist in the prestigious Teradata EPIC Awards for Big Data Excellence for a joint project with Teradata: “TD Bank Agile Banking 3.0.”
The project involved helping TD Bank replace its existing manual process of delivering data to business users with enhanced model of fast, secure, on-demand access to enterprise data (Data-as-a-Service) by standing up a managed enterprise data lake using Podium’s data lake management platform.
Podium teamed up with Teradata’s Think Big specialty big data consulting group to deliver the data lake to TD Bank and support the project with project management expertise and custom development of several specialized scheduling and integration tools. Podium’s data lake management platform was a key component of TD Bank’s data lake success.

One of the critical drivers for success was the ability for TD Bank to efficiently bring into the data lake huge quantities of disparate data of varying quality and formats from a variety of sources, including mainframes and third-party providers.
