ALBANY, N.Y., Sept. 29, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Some interesting findings when it comes to fitness habits in the Capital Region. A recent survey by CDPHP Insights – a new online survey community – finds that 28 percent of local residents prefer walking, jogging or running to any other fitness routine. Bicycling came in a distant second with 14 percent, while yoga and swimming tied with 12 percent. And just 3 percent of survey respondents say they enjoy team sports – ouch!
Talk about loners, the survey found that 59 percent of people prefer to work out alone, while just 4 percent of participants say they enjoy working out in large groups.
As far as exercise must-haves, 42 percent of participants say they workout with a water bottle, 24 percent use headphones and music, 18 percent workout with a Fitbit or other wearable device, and just 11 percent use a smartphone.
