Transwestern was chosen out of hundreds of companies from various industries across all five boroughs. Best Companies Group conducted the two-part survey process. Each company's workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics were evaluated, accounting for 25 percent of the ranking. An employee survey accounted for 75 percent. The combined scores determined the final rankings, which were announced Dec. 2, 2016.
