ORLANDO, FL--(Marketwired - Dec 14, 2016) - First GREEN Bank, a local bank with a global mission, today announces its naming rights to the high-rise building located in the Orlando Business District at 250 North Orange Avenue Orlando, Fla. 32801. The 14-story title building, which will bear First GREEN Bank's name for the next 10 years, is the bank's new headquarter office and is expected to open to the public in April 2017. Currently, the new branch is undergoing "GREEN-ovations" to offer the highest levels of sustainability.
"We are excited to headquarter our values-based company in the Orlando Business District, a hub for progressive innovation," said Ken LaRoe, founder of First GREEN Bank. "Since launching First GREEN Bank in 2009, we have proven that there is a way to succeed in business while still prioritizing our planet, people, community and shareholders. With our new, sustainable high-rise office space, we hope to magnify this business model and expand our offerings to urban centers."
Renovations are currently underway to bring the 4,000-square foot office space to the highest possible Green Globes Certification, LEED Certification and Energy Star Certification standards. Solar panels are expected to provide power to the bank on the first floor, as well as to offices on the fifth floor. The bank also plans to share any excess energy generated from solar panels with other fellow tenants. The opening of this new downtown location marks the closing of the current First GREEN Bank downtown location on South Orange Ave.
"We hope that our transition to the heart of downtown Orlando will bring more attention to the value of community banks," said Keith Costello, CEO of First Green Bank. "As First GREEN Bank grows as a company, so will our commitment to responsible business practices and quality services. Overall, we hope to inspire a movement toward positive change across worldwide companies and their consumers."

About First GREEN Bank
Since its opening in 2009, First GREEN Bank has led an impactful and successful charge to prove there is a better way to do business -- one that is financially, environmentally and socially responsible. Inspired by Ben & Jerry's mission of incorporating a strong sense of social responsibility into its business, founder Ken LaRoe and CEO Keith Costello are the only two leaders and friends in the banking industry to promote environmentally responsible behavior through its own business and employees. LaRoe and Costello coincidentally hold the last and second to last bank charter in the state of Florida and, together, plan to use that certification to promote their global mission.
Headquartered in Orlando, with additional locations in Mount Dora, Clermont, Ormond Beach, Winter Park and, most recently, Fort Lauderdale, First GREEN Bank offers personal and commercial banking services such as loans, mortgages, checking and savings, CDs, IRAs and money markets.
