Latvia, 2017-01-19 13:42 CET (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Changes were made in the board of the Latvian Sea Medicine Centre (A/s Latvijas Jūras medicīnas centrs, LJMC) on January 13, 2017 by appointing Anatolijs Ahmetovs a member of the Board. During the last three years A. Ahmetovs worked as surgeon at LJMC and Riga Eastern Clinical University Hospital (RAKUS). A. Ahmetovs does not hold LJMC shares. Chairman of the Board Jānis Birks and Board member Juris Imaks continue working in the Board.
In 2017 LJMC will continue to invest resources in upgrading the existing services and developing new ones. This spring we plan to launch the new LJMC Radiology Department at Patversmes Street 23 in Riga, which will open up new opportunities in the field of diagnostics and rehabilitation of oncology patients in Latvia, as well as will enable various high quality medical examinations as part of the state funded and pay services.
The Latvian Sea Medicine Centre (LJMC) is a private medical institution established in 1944 and providing a wide range of high quality medical services to the general public. LJMC comprises Sarkandaugava Outpatient Medical Care Centre and the Central Hospital, Vecmīlgrāvis Hospital and the Primary Healthcare Centre, as well as the Northern Diagnostics Centre.
The shares the Latvian Sea Medicine Centre are listed on Riga stock exchange.
