WATERTOWN, Mass., Feb. 14, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- athenahealth, Inc. (NASDAQ:ATHN), a leading provider of network-enabled services and point-of-care mobile applications for hospital and ambulatory clients nationwide, today announced its performance assessment tool for healthcare organizations will be unveiled at the 2017 HIMSS Annual Conference and Exhibition (HIMSS17), February 19-23 in Orlando, Florida. The application leverages data from thousands of high-performing physicians across athenahealth’s national network to evaluate an organization’s performance against key indicators associated with best-in-breed clinical and financial outcomes.
Through interaction with the tool at athenahealth’s booth (#3743), HIMSS17 attendees will gain actionable, vendor-agnostic insight and guidance to drive better bottom-line results.
“Thanks to the breadth of our national network, we can deliver unprecedented visibility into what drives clinical and financial performance. We know what’s working and what isn’t for our nearly 88,000 provider clients, and we want others to know what athena knows,” said Jonathan Bush, chief executive officer at athenahealth. “Our mission is to equip providers with insight and clinical information while taking away unnecessary work. Traditional software cannot optimize the business of healthcare, or serve the needs of providers and patients in the way a network can. We’re bringing this to life at HIMSS.”
In addition to the performance tool, athenahealth’s booth (#3743) will feature:
- High-Performing Physician Network (HPPN) interactive: A dynamic athenaInsight experience that teases out variables, ranging from patient portal registration to physician retention, which correlate most closely with financial outcomes.
- athenahealth Marketplace: Hear from More Disruption Please partners about athenahealth’s Marketplace where providers shop for innovative technologies that are seamlessly integrated onto an open, API-enabled platform.
- Demonstrations of athenahealth’s network-enabled services, including: athenaOne; athenaOne for Hospitals & Health Systems; and athenahealth Population Health for improved patient self-management and care coordination of at-risk populations.
