TROY, Mich., Feb. 28, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Syntel, Inc. (Nasdaq:SYNT), a leading global provider of integrated information technology and knowledge process services, today announced that a key component of the company’s SyntBots® automation platform has achieved SAP certification as powered by the SAP NetWeaver® technology platform.
The SAP® Integration and Certification Center (SAP ICC) has certified the SyntBots Automation Framework 1.5 for SAP GUI and its applications. The framework can be easily integrated into SAP software environments and operates smoothly with SAP applications.
The SyntBots Automation Framework for SAP GUI is a lightweight, reusable plug-and-play solution that integrates with SAP NetWeaver to help clients to accelerate the implementation, rollout and upgrade of SAP applications. It creates a repository of standard test processes to reduce development and test cycle time, significantly improving the overall end-to-end validation of business operations that run inside the SAP software environment.
“We are delighted to announce that SyntBots Automation Framework is now a certified framework for SAP applications,” said Chetan Manjarekar, Head of Syntel’s Digital One solution group. “The SyntBots Automation Framework for SAP GUI enables us to tightly integrate with SAP software landscapes to automate and accelerate many of the critical DevOps and IT operations activities for SAP projects.”
The solution consists of an extensive library of reusable test cases, test scripts and an automation engine that manages the end-to-end test design, development and execution for functional scenarios in SAP software. It also features robust reporting capabilities, enabling companies to monitor important performance parameters and generate reports before and after a test cycle.
“At Syntel, we take a holistic view of the value of test automation,” said Manjarekar. “In order for any enterprise to reap the maximum value from its technology investments, it’s important to reduce complexity, eliminate waste and improve standardization across the enterprise technology stack.”
The SyntBots Automation Framework for SAP GUI leverages a suite of automated testing processes and utilities to quickly identify dependencies and define a uniform enterprise testing landscape that promotes quality, efficiency and cost improvements.
“The SyntBots Automation Framework for SAP GUI has the potential to deliver dramatic results for clients with large and complex SAP software landscapes,” said Syntel Interim CEO Rakesh Khanna. “We are currently working with clients to explore how integrating SyntBots with their SAP applications can achieve a 40% reduction in testing costs and a 75% reduction in manual testing efforts.”
“SyntBots enables leading companies to transform their IT and process operations across the enterprise, and now the SyntBots Automation Framework for SAP GUI will help enable them to achieve these same results and maximize the value of their SAP applications,” said Khanna.
