Adacel, an industry leader in the design and production of air traffic control training systems, is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a contract to supply an air traffic control (ATC) training simulator to Delex Systems based in Herndon, Virginia.
Under terms of the contract Adacel will supply a nine-channel, MaxSim Tower Simulation System (TSS) that will include positions for Local Control and Ground Control training. The simulator also includes Adacel’s state-of-the-art speech recognition system. A comprehensive Instructor Operating Station (IOS) provides instructors with complete pseudo pilot functionality and the capability to control and modify the running scenario. Also included are scenario generation tools to create, edit and save training scenarios. The system will accommodate both individual and team training in the control tower disciplines.
Delex joins an impressive group of ATC training providers that employ Adacel’s simulators as an integral part of their curriculum. The Company has more than 350 installations at 232 worldwide locations, which includes tower and radar simulators at 30 U.S Colleges and Universities and at 110 training establishments and operational airport locations with the FAA, the U.S. military and other commercial enterprises.
