CALGARY, AB--(Marketwired - May 09, 2017) - Media are invited to observe the Alberta Electric System Operator's System Restoration Training to find out what exactly takes place in a system-wide blackout and how operators work together across Alberta to restore power as quickly as possible.
Approximately 60 system controllers from the AESO and transmission and distribution companies from across the province will participate in the annual training.
Media will be provided with access to film the training simulation exercise, as well as receive pre-recorded video and images of the AESO's 24-7 system coordination centre.
