OTTAWA, June 09, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Appraisal Institute of Canada (AIC) and the Appraisal Institute (AI) are proud to kick off the 2017 International Valuation Conference today in Ottawa, Ontario. More than 600 appraisers from around the globe assembled today in the capital city of Canada for one of the world’s largest networking and professional development opportunities within the real estate valuation profession.
The 2017 International Valuation Conference is the first of its kind in 13 years. It features domestic and international speakers focusing on valuation topics that are top-of-mind for the profession within a dynamic real estate market that is continually evolving due to technology, regulations, economic conditions and geo-political forces.
“We are pleased to host valuation professionals from around the world to discuss issues and trends within the real estate valuation profession that have a significant impact on the domestic and global economy,” said 2016-17 Appraisal Institute of Canada President Dan Brewer, AACI, P.App.
“As the real estate industry continues to be an important issue for consumers, investors, lenders and governments, valuation professionals must discuss and respond to the evolving needs of an increasingly dynamic and volatile real estate market. As North America’s valuation leaders, AIC and AI continue to focus on enhancing our members’ understanding of international markets and build on our mutual understanding of valuation issues domestically.”
“It’s great to be in Ottawa with appraisers from around the world for this exciting event,” said 2017 Appraisal Institute President Jim Amorin, MAI, SRA, AI-GRS. “We continue to be on the leading edge of delivering quality education and guidance to our members to ensure that we are responding to market needs.”
