Savvius Spotlight Reimagines Network Performance Monitoring, Investigations, and Troubleshooting

LAS VEGAS, NV--(Marketwired - Jun 26, 2017) - Today at Cisco Live, Cisco's annual IT and communications conference, Savvius, Inc., the leader in actionable network visibility, announced Omnipliance Ultra, a dramatic advance in the ability of IT professionals to quickly identify and solve network performance problems and locate network security issues. Omnipliance Ultra network appliances include Savvius Spotlight, a new technology that enables visibility into the specific information needed to significantly reduce the Mean Time To Resolution (MTTR) of network issues. Available in new Savvius Omnipliance Ultra models T300, M200, and C100, Savvius Spotlight is also available in the Savvius Spotlight Appliance, a dedicated high-performance standalone 1U appliance.

Before Savvius Omnipliance Ultra and the Savvius Spotlight Appliance, network monitoring and management products were limited, presenting summary information based on aggregated packet-level metrics, one-sided flow data that was missing critical measurements such as quality and latency, or other delayed or incomplete views. Solving problems with that limited information requires time-consuming additional steps. Savvius Spotlight takes advantage of dramatic increases in compute capability available in Omnipliance Ultra and the Savvius Spotlight Appliance to apply packet-based expert analysis to every single flow in the monitored traffic, even when hundreds of thousands of flows are being created each second. Omnipliance Ultra and the Savvius Spotlight Appliance have a rich variety of means, both automated and manual, to filter the results to those specific flows and nodes that the network operator needs or wants to see. If the user wishes to drill down further, a single click integrates packet-level forensics.
