Dept. of Interior Seeks Contractor to Remodel WARC Library

Responses Due by July 24

Reston, Virginia, July 10, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The U.S. Department of the Interior, U.S. Geological Survey, released on Monday, July 10 a solicitation in which it outlined plans to bring in a certified government contractor to redesign and remodel an existing library at the U.S. Geological Survey, Wetland and Aquatic Research Center (WARC), to meet space utilization needs.

According to the solicitation, the existing library space within the WARC is currently undergoing a major consolidation, which has resulted in an opportunity to relocate and recapture program space for WARC Branches. WARC intends to reconfigure this existing library space to provide space for personnel who are currently located elsewhere in the facility.

According to the solicitation, the contractor who receives this contract must remove and replace the carpet in the library, paint walls, install communications data cables and data drops, hang curtains to cover all glass windows, and make sure that the workspace contributes to the overall health and wellbeing of agency personnel.

The contractor who receives the contract has 60 days to complete the project, which the agency estimates to be valued at between $100,000 and $150,000. The applicable NAICS code is 236210, and the size standard is $36.5 million.

The U.S. Geological Survey will award the contract to a certified small business, on or about July 31. Responses are due by no later than July 24, and interested and capable contractors can e-mail responses to Contract Specialist Alfred Benton at abenton@usgs.gov.

The contractor who receives this contract also must be registered with the System for Award Management (SAM) database and have as part of the Registration all current Representations and Certifications.
