Irving, Texas , July 17, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Entrepreneur, Bill Bishop of Metroplex Management Group sponsored the 8th annual Frisco Independent School District’s golf tournament on June 3, 2017.
The event took place at the Trails of Frisco Golf Club. All proceeds of the tournament went to the Frisco Independent School District Gulf Scholarship, which sponsors Frisco high school graduates in their first year of higher education.
Bill Bishop, former teacher and life long advocate of universal education, takes great pride in participating in local events regarding childhood education.
He says, “It was an honor to take part in the gulf tournament. Helping the local youth not only understand the importance of higher education, but also being able to provide the means for these children to attain their educational goals is humbling.”
Last year, Metroplex Management Group provided nearly 150 book bags filled with school supplies for elementary age children at FISD. The bags included supplies from pencils to glue sticks and were delivered to the youth of the district.
Bill explains, “Our partnership with the Frisco Independent School District is one of the most important local partnerships for our company. Not only are we able to teach our associates the importance of giving back to the local community, but also we take great pride in making our local community a better place. There is no better way to show our support than to help the youth of our neighborhoods.”
The partnership between Metroplex Management and the FISD will continue into the summer as the 8-week elementary school summer program kicks off in June. Metroplex associates plan to attend several events hosted by the FISD, providing catered meals and interacting with the children through face painting.
