Penfolds and DLynn Proctor, Hosted by Signatures Restaurant


OTTAWA, Aug. 09, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Le Cordon Bleu Ottawa, part of the leading Global Network of Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management Institutes and Signatures Restaurant, welcome Penfolds Winemaking Ambassador in the Americas and Canada, DLynn Proctor.

Signatures Restaurant will host an intimate group of guests as they enjoy the Penfolds' experience with DLynn Proctor, as he guides them through some of the wineries most iconic selections, including a 2002 flagship vintage Grange. The evening's selection of Penfolds wine pairings are valued in excess of $2,000. The evening will include a 5-course culinary masterpiece by esteemed executive Chef Yannick Anton.

DLynn Proctor has been a figure in the wine industry for over 13 years. He was named "Best New Sommelier in America" by Wine & Spirits Magazine in 2008, was a finalist in The Chaîne des Rôtisseurs Société Mondiale du Vin Best Sommelier in America Competition in 2008 and 2009, and was named to the National RUDD Scholars of 2011. DLynn has been featured in Wine Spectator, Wine & Spirits Magazine, Everyday with Rachael Ray, Decanter, The Tasting Panel, WineSearcher, Huffington Post, and The New York Times. DLynn is notably known for his role in the internationally acclaimed Netflix wine documentary ‘SOMM’.

Penfolds has been producing remarkable wines since 1844 and indisputably led the development of Australian fine wine in the modern era. The introduction of Penfolds Grange in 1951 forever changed the landscape of Australian fine wine. Since then a series of standout wines both white and red have been released under the Penfolds masthead.
