Dayton, Ohio, Aug. 17, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- MacAulay-Brown, Inc. (MacB), a leading National Security company delivering advanced engineering services, cybersecurity and product solutions, announced today that Commonwealth Technology, Inc. (CTI) toasted 50 years of service to our Nation’s Intelligence, Defense and Law Enforcement communities with an Open House Anniversary celebration yesterday. The invitation-only event was held at MacB’s Alexandria, Virginia location on Wednesday, August 16 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. It included product and capability demonstrations, facility tours and refreshments. CTI was acquired by MacB in January 2014.
CTI was officially founded in 1967 as a mechanical engineering company, and evolved over time by adding a machine and model shop in the early 1970s. Electrical and software engineering services were later added in the 1990s. Today, MacB has integrated CTI’s unique radio frequency engineering, manufacturing and signals expertise with the company’s other lines of business for the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) that include Intelligence and Analysis, Cybersecurity, Engineering, Research and Development, Integrated Laboratories and Secure Cloud/Data Analytics.
“We are extremely proud of the work performed by our CTI division to support some of our nation’s toughest National Security priorities,” said Dan Gutierrez, Senior Vice President and General Manager of MacB’s National Security Group (NSG). “MacB and CTI offer substantial resources including high-end equipment, outstanding facilities and experienced staff to solve many of our customer’s biggest challenges in today’s ever-changing environment. We will continue to grow the business to keep delivering unique, high-value intelligence services and mission support across our diverse customer base.”
“CTI employees, along with teams from MacB’s recently acquired Enlighten IT Group (EITG) and Secure Computing and Communications (SCC) divisions, continue to help us transform into the company we are today,” said MacB President and Chief Executive Officer Sid Fuchs. “This gradual transition over the last six years means we are now primarily focused on delivering new and high-end technical, engineering, data analytics and cybersecurity capabilities to support our valued and long-time customers within the DoD and Intelligence Community.”
