BOCA RATON, Fla., Sept. 27, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- ADT, a leading provider of security and automation solutions for homes and businesses across North America, today announced the expansion of smart security solutions for HOA Communities and Multi-Family Dwellings to better serve this growing market.
As part of that expansion, the company will combine Protection 1’s twenty-five years of experience serving multi-family homes with ADT’s considerable expertise working with HOA communities. The two groups will now form one seamless, world-class operation with advanced smart security and home automation solutions.
“With the merger of ADT and Protection 1, we can now serve an even larger segment of these markets with end-to-end solutions that encompass the entire spectrum of both smart security and home automation systems,” stated John Butrim, ADT’s Director of National Accounts, Multi-family and Commercial Associations Programs. “Today, we have more than 200,000 customers in those markets and that number continues to grow.”
ADT offers a full-suite of smart security and home automation solutions that deliver comprehensive coverage for the entire property. For example, ADT can provide individual units with intrusion alarm systems and home automation features as well as deliver monitored fire detection systems for the entire building along with access control and video solutions for common areas. Most providers concentrate on either security or home automation but typically, not both.
In an increasingly competitive market, developers and property managers offering smart security and home automation solutions enhance their ability to attract more buyers and renters, while lowering costs with efficient energy and property management tools. Not only do they offer an added convenience for buyers and renters, they also provide additional revenue generating opportunities for property managers and associations due to their inherent value.
Along with professionally installed and monitored security and fire alarm systems, ADT also offers property managers a full range of state-of-the-art smart security and home automation products to choose from including indoor/outdoor cameras, remote control lighting and thermostats, doorbell cameras and smart locks. The solutions also include two-way voice communications, remote viewing of video cameras and email or text alerts.
For multi-family housing or apartment buildings, property managers can install a cloud-based, electronic access control system that can manage access rights for residents, guest, employees and contractors. The system also allows for real-time updating of credentials allowing them to remove contractors from the system once a job is complete or delete residents that move out of the complex – all without the time and expense of rekeying locks.
“We are excited about the expanded capabilities these two great companies offer our current and future customers,” stated Christopher BenVau, ADT Senior Vice President of Enterprise Solutions. “We will continue our commitment of providing them with cutting-edge technology along with the best customer service in the industry. That is the foundation for everything we do.”
Joe Beatty, Regional Manager for Kirkpatrick Management summed it up, “I have nothing but good things to say about the alarm systems we have incorporated into our system. Your company has ‘gone the extra mile’ on everything from the initial installation to servicing the alarms. Count me as a satisfied customer.”
