Genius Kitchen’s content consists of brand new original shows, easy-to-learn recipe and cooking demonstrations, internationally licensed shows making their U.S. debuts, and classic favorites that have been reimagined for a new audience. A sampling includes Australian chef Dan Churchill, who hosts friends and cooks delicious Instagram-worthy feasts, meat-obsessed comedian Courtney Rada, British culinary expert Nigella Lawson, who introduces a pared-down approach to cooking by demonstrating easy, soul-nourishing recipes, plus classic shows with familiar faces and famous chefs.
The unique recipe delivery feature will allow users on connected devices to have the recipes from the episode or video delivered straight to their email or mobile app. With “genius” tips sprinkled throughout the new content, viewers can adjust their settings to “auto-magically” receive the Galaxy Cake recipe being made on Pop Culture Baking Class or the Shrimp Pad Thai from Genius Kitchen Recipes while they are still seeing the video.
“With Genius Kitchen, we set out to develop content that was inherently social and work with talent that could truly connect with young audiences,” said Rich Lacy, Senior Vice President of Digital Brand Creative at Scripps Networks, who was tapped to oversee the venture. “This unique, seamless experience explores not only great food, but also the people and fun surrounding it.”
