Alpha II Achieves EHNAC Re-Accreditation with HNAP-EHN and DRAP Programs

Achievements ensure continued adherence to the highest health data processing standards while demonstrating compliance with CMS requirements and guidelines

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. , Oct. 24, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Alpha II, LLC, a leading developer of software-as-a-service (SaaS) solutions that support healthcare reimbursement, announced today it has achieved re-accreditation with both the Data Registry Accreditation Program (DRAP) as well as the Healthcare Network Accreditation Program for Electronic Health Networks (HNAP-EHN) from the Electronic Healthcare Network Accreditation Commission (EHNAC).

Re-accreditation through EHNAC’s third-party review demonstrates Alpha II’s continued ability to meet privacy and security guidelines, HIPAA, HITECH, Omnibus Rule and ACA requirements, as well as best practices in technical performance, business processes and resource management. In 2015, Alpha II was one of the first organizations to achieve full accreditation with DRAP, a program that serves as a baseline standard for data registries to assure compliance with all CMS requirements and guidelines. With HNAP-EHN re-accreditation, Alpha II continues to be recognized for its excellence in health data processing and transactions, and ensures compliance with these same industry-established standards and regulations.

“Attaining both HNAP-EHN and DRAP re-accreditations, as Alpha II has, requires a continued commitment to ensuring the highest levels of security and privacy of health data processing and transactions as well as compliance with industry standards,” said Lee Barrett, executive director of EHNAC. “Alpha II has demonstrated this to its healthcare stakeholders – including partners, customers and other business associates, and it’s a major accomplishment in today’s evolving healthcare environment.”

Through the consultative review process, EHNAC evaluated Alpha II in areas of privacy measures, systems availability and security infrastructure. In addition, EHNAC reviewed the organization’s process of managing and transferring protected health information and determined that the organization meets or exceeds all EHNAC criteria and industry standards.

“Surpassing the stringent standards of EHNAC’s accreditation and now re-accreditation process with these two programs is an important part of Alpha II’s effort to guarantee partner and customer trust in our ability to manage data with integrity and effectiveness, while showing the level of security that encompasses our reimbursement solutions and CMS-qualified registry,” said Jan Powell, CEO of Alpha II. “We are very proud of having achieved re-accreditation for both programs, as they serve as important ‘stamps of approval’ from an independent, industry-recognized organization.”
