Ascom wins an important order from Dutch Rijnstate hospital for its nurse call solution teleCARE IP

Rijnstate, a leading hospital in the Arnhem region has signed a contract with Ascom for the supply, installation and maintenance of the nurse call system teleCARE IP. The value of the contract amounts to around CHF 1.1 million.

Rijnstate is located in the Arnhem region and one of the largest hospitals of the Netherlands. The new solution will improve the patient care significantly and ensure an optimal communication between care teams and patients, based on state-at-the-art IT technologies.

The hospital's vision is to strive to improve continuously its quality of treatment for patients. teleCARE IP, the latest generation of IP nurse call solution from Ascom, has been specifically developed to enable care institutions to discreetly monitor patient safety while allowing patients to retain their freedom of movement. This scalable, flexible system helps to provide optimal care within the grounds of a hospital while ensuring that patients can retain their dignity and freedom.

"The changing requirements of hospitals and other care institutions are all targeted at improving patient care. We are increasingly viewing patients as the key to care and playing their own part in the road to recovery. Freedom and room to move during the healing and care process are elementary. Our solutions, such as teleCARE IP, reflect this trend and demand. In this regard, the solution chosen by Rijnstate is an example of the new kind of hospital care," says Olaf Hendriks, Managing Director of Ascom Benelux.
