SAN MATEO, CA--(Marketwired - Nov 20, 2017) - SignalFx, a leader in real-time operational intelligence for data-driven DevOps, today announced it has expanded its integration with Amazon Web Services (AWS) with the launch of two new offerings, Cloud Tuner for EC2 and native Lambda monitoring. Both integrations further strengthen the speed, scope, and scale of real-time visibility SignalFx customers have for AWS, helping to identify and resolve application issues before they affect customers. SignalFx Cloud Tuner is available by request and Lambda monitoring is available immediately using wrapper code from the SignalFx Github repository. Additionally, Service Dependency Mapping will be available for preview at AWS re:Invent later this month.
Said Karthik Rau, Founder and CEO of SignalFx: "Today's announcement further underscores our leadership and commitment to cloud customers around the world. Regardless of the market you serve, intelligent, actionable insights are key in enabling your organization to optimize your cloud resources and minimize your costs, providing you with a competitive advantage. We look forward to continuing to work with Amazon Web Services to deliver real-time, data-driven DevOps across the cloud."
The SignalFx Cloud Tuner solution delivers extended visibility into the real-time cost, capacity, and usage of AWS, specifically Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) instances, and soon for Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3) and Amazon EC2 Container Service (Amazon ECS). Leveraging capacity and cost metrics, SignalFx helps DevOps and business leaders make intelligent choices on how to optimize their AWS costs and capacity in real-time.
The launch of SignalFx Lambda monitoring combines AWS Cloudwatch metrics and instrumentation from the SignalFx Lambda wrapper for real-time visibility into the performance of functions. This allows organizations to have a more holistic view across their infrastructure, services, applications and functions. This new integration also includes new dashboards specific to AWS Lambda performance monitoring.
SignalFx's new service dependency mapping service, available in tech preview, works for any Kubernetes cluster managed by Istio. The functionality provides a better way to model the performance of systems by visualizing not only the individual services but also their interdependencies. This delivers on a previously unavailable opportunity to drill down into specific services and uncover deeper insights in the context of the greater system. As collaboration with AWS continues to evolve, SignalFx's Service Dependency Maps will also model other systems in addition to Kubernetes clusters, as well as use surfaced dependencies and relationships to identify correlations and overlay distributed tracing data on a system map.
SignalFx is the only solution delivering a consolidated real-time view into an organization's infrastructure, services, applications, and functions, providing actionable insights to fix problems before they affect customer and negatively impact a company's brand. Enterprises rely on SignalFx to ensure there are no errors and that their organizations are running around the clock at peak performance.
